Summer Recipe Inspiration

Ripe Berry Harvest, Perfect for Summer

The summer months are winding to an end with families taking final vacations and enjoying the warm weather before heading back to school in the fall. Just because the season is coming to an end doesn't mean you can't enjoy some of the amazing seasonal fruits and vegetables available at your grocery store, farmer's market, or own backyard garden. We've been foraging blackberries which are all over the pacific northwest this time of year. At times, we have so many berries, we can't eat them as fast as they ripen. To inspire some late summer cooking, we've selected nine of our favorite summer recipes featuring blackberries, nectarines, cantaloupe, lavender, and cucumbers. Scroll through the gallery below and click on the photos for links to each of these delicious summer-inspired recipes. Recipes are also noted as gluten free (GF), vegetarian (V), and vegan (VG) in the caption for a quick reference. Stay tuned in the coming weeks as we transition from late summer to early fall seasonal recipes.
